Hurry!

Find that receipt!  …or, go buy that tree and get it in the ground!

Did you know the City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services will credit your water/sewer bill for up to half the purchase price of a tree planted in your yard?  Qualifying trees (see form) must be purchased and planted, and forms submitted between September 1, 2013 and April 30, 2014.  Yes, tomorrow is the 30th so you still have time!

I have participated in this Treebate program before, but didn’t realize that it has continued.  Good news if you purchased more than one tree, you can submit multiple forms.

April is almost over and that means Arbor Month is coming to a close.  So many cool events were on the calendar hosted by Portland Parks and Recreation Urban Forestry, but I wasn’t able to make it to a single one.  Until today – I think I’ll take the Ainsworth Linear Arboretum Tree Walk.  If I can get decent photos, I’ll share them in a post soon.  How did you observe Arbor Month?
