Hug a tree, break a record

I won’t be able to make it to this event, but if you are in Portland and you love trees — isn’t that the reason to live here? — think about registering for this Saturday July 20 event at Hoyt Arboretum.  That’s tomorrow! Check in begins at 2pm, and the event will be held at 3pm.  Registration is required and preregistration is recommended.

The current Guinness World Record holder for largest number of individuals hugging trees in one location is 935 people in Minnesota.  Participating in this event will help to break that record.

If you attend, please share about your experience in a comment.  Thanks!

Fabulous photo! Yes, trees are a good reason to live here, plus the climate, which sure beats what is happening around the rest of the country.

  2. Julie Fukuda says:

I’ll wear my green Hoyt Arboretum T-shirt and hug that … there in spirit!
